The Raleigh-Wake Chapter of the National Reading Association is again sponsoring its Young Authors writing and art contest! This is completely optional, but many of our students over the years have become published authors and illustrators with this project!

Even though it says to send the stories to an email address that is listed, PLEASE DO NOT DO THAT! SEND ALL ENTRIES TO ME BY OCTOBER 24TH. I WILL NEED A HARD COPY WITH THE PERMISSION FORM AND AN EMAILED COPY OF YOUR CHILD'S WRITING. YOU MUST FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS PERFECTLY, OR THE WRITING WILL NOT BE JUDGED. I WILL SEND ALL ENTRIES TO THE APPROPRIATE PERSON BY THE DUE DATE. ART CONTEST ENTRIES SHOULD COME TO ME AS WELL, ALONG WITH THE PERMISSION FORM. STUDENTS CAN DO WRITING OR ART OR BOTH!
